Most news articles talk of the importance of marketing to women, but few really delve into what works, what doesn't, and why. Marilyn Moore has done a top-notch job of covering the topic in her extensive piece in this week's AdWeek, What Women Want: The New Terms of Engagement.
Don't miss this article, which talks about the future of marketing to women and what companies are doing to effectively connect with female consumers. And if you read to the end, you'll find out why I almost punched out a granite-countertop salesman during our kitchen renovation...

In all the decades (yes, I'm on my second decade) of following this niche turned mass strategy called M2W, this is the best article (overall) I have ever seen. And I've seen enough (as I'm sure you have). By the way, watch for M2W to come to life "soon" in residential real estate. The rebirth of the Better Homes & Gardens franchise by the nations number one brokerage franchise "consolidator" (Realogy)is all about connecting with women. After bust, comes rebirth. Finally!

I'm definately experiencing women pulling together and making things happen. Women make up 85% of the decision makers to buy cars and 50% are the actual buyers, yet only 2% are working in the auto retail and finance arena. Womens Automotive Network Television online is helping women change the way we buy and sell cars in today's global economy using the right tools and techniques to experience a quick, simple and fun car buying transaction by being empowered when doing business on either side. It's not a push and pull tug of war game that men made up in the dark ages long ago, yet people take new technology and info and try to do business the old way. We get women, car buyers, car dealer employees, auto manufacturers, auto related compnaies and career seekers on the same page. Great resource!
