Today is my birthday. 45 years old. How did THAT happen?!
I am spending my birthday working, as usual... hitting the road with the sole purpose of investigating how well women's clothing stores are marketing to women these days.
The first part is true... if you believe the research part, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.
My best birthday present ever came this morning, from my husband. Remember that hauntingly beautiful tune I told you he was working on awhile back? He turned it into a piece just for me. It's titled, "Pavane for Michele in April." And it brought me to tears, natch. He even had it printed and bound with a lovely cover.
If I can get him to play it again (and again), I'll record it and put it up for all to hear.
Now, off to exercise the credit card!

Happy Birthday. What a lovely gift!

Happy Birthday
At least you remember how old you are - my husband's birthday is on Thursday and last night he lamented on how he would be 45 - 'imagine that?' he said. 'Imangine how much more impressive that would be if you remembered you will in actual fact be 44!!' I replied.
Nice post today - it made me smile and to have a song for you - thats very romantic.

Happy Birthday, Michele! Thanks for sharing what makes any celebration worth celebrating...that you have that one-in-a-million person to celebrate it with. I think it's wonderful you mentioned your husband, his talents and his love for you. He must really cherish you. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Michelle! Remember, sound research statistical methodology frowns on using n<5. Much better to have n>12.
Speaking of statistics, 45 sounds pretty good...sounds better and better to me every year :-)

Oh no! I came in 2 days late to wish you a Happy Birthday! I hope you are still glowing and have heard your precious song each day since.
Investigating with a credit card in hand. Hmmm... I believe it. How much you want for that bridge?

Well, belated happy B'day wishes from Reston, VA. Just think, Michele, at 45 you're only half way through your life expectancy at 45 for a white, American woman. Yep, what ever you've experienced thus far is nothing compared to what lies ahead as you move deeper into your years of wisdom, for life does indeed become yeastier in the second half of life.

M: all the best (albeit belated!) wishes for a wonderful birthday, and a fantabulous year ahead. 45 is the new 25, or something like that! I'm looking forward to our paths crossing again and toasting your milestone with a glass of chianti... (and here's hoping that David's wish for a 'yeastier' life is in the sense of dough-rising and not, well, ahem, something else!!) -V. (K).
