It's the second day of Wonder Women Week, but Andrea Learned is second to none. The author (with Lisa Johnson) of Don't Think Pink, Andrea's blog lends clarity to the topic of marketing to women from many perspectives... and she always remembers the importance of men in woman's world.
Here's one of my favorite recent posts, Men Are Relevant to the Women's Market:
"The truth is - whether they are our husbands, brothers, fathers, colleagues, neighbors, or dry cleaners, men have always been here and they always will be. (And, we are glad of it.) How and when brands include them in their women’s market efforts seems to be what changes. Only really knowing your customers well, and growing along with them, can guide you to the most relevant and resonant choices."
It's a great post (followed by a Part 2!), written by a great writer. Check it out here.
Andrea's site, Learned on Women, was the first stop on a Business Blog Book Tour for Darren Rovell's new book, "FIRST IN THIRST: How Gatorade Turned the Science of Sweat into a Cultural Phenomenon." It's about Gatorade's branding victory over Coca-Cola. An excerpt and audiocast can be found at Brand Autopsy.
