WWW Thursday: Mary Schmidt

I knew I'd like Mary Schmidt from the moment she posted on my blog, commenting something to the effect, "Snarky Blondes Unite!"  After spending time on her blog, I liked her even more. This is one sharp business woman, with a great mind for strategy and tactics.

Take this quote from a recent post on leadership:

"Just because somebody is in a leadership position doesn’t mean he or she is a leader. I’ve worked with “masters of the universe” I wouldn’t follow out of a burning building. Others, I’d run into a burning building to save. The difference between the two? Intelligence, integrity, accountability and the willingness to hear things which they may hate."

I'm a member of both the "love Mary" and "snarky blondes" clubs. :-)

Did want to point out that you *can* link to a detail post on Mary's Blog. Just click on the title of an article. (She loves trackbacks...so it's a good thing to know about.)
