It's a blazing hot 116 degrees in the Valley today, but still had to hit the road to run errands. I took my ever-enthusastic assistant, Miss Penny, with me for the ride. The WonderBranding Street Team never sleeps.
Our favorite stop of the day was the drive-thru at the bank. I popped the deposit slip inside the pneumatic tube and sent it sailing toward the teller smiling back at us through the bank window. Approximately two minutes later, a friendly "Thank you!" over the intercom precluded the whoosh of the returning tube. I cracked the car window open just far enough to grab the tube, opened it up to remove my receipt and found... a Milk Bone for Penny.
It's amazing how little surprises like that can make a female's day... whether she's human or canine.
I was just in Scottsdale Thursday-Sunday (unfortunately for a funeral). It was my first trip and I was absolutely scorched by the heat. So I can relate.
And, as a dog owner, I have to throw in that I once drove thru the window at Wendy's and they gave me a free order of Chicken Nuggets for my dog, Chase, who was in the back. I love that! Anyone who spoils my dog is instantly on my "Good" list.

Just had to respond to "Dog Day Afternoon"...
Here in Juneau, we have a Saturday ritual:
Dry cleaners: 2 Milk Bones, more if looking pitiful
Bank: 1 if by tube; 2 if by window
Heritage Coffee Drive-Up: Usually 1 Milk Bone w/ Latte Grande, but an occasional perk of a biscotti (if looking especially needy).
So, when are you preppies going to get this show on the road? We have furry souls who need you!
