There's been some discussion lately about the ever-increasing prevalence of advertising in our everyday lives. First, there was Todd's post over at A Penny For about the ads on airline tray tables. Then, John over at Brand Autopsy told us about the idea of some marketing genius to place ads for Spider-Man 2 atop the bases for all Major League Baseball games in June (a move later cancelled out of what could be nothing other than embarassment).
Finally, someone has a bright idea that actually serves a purpose:
Meet the ADd Handle, created to help you carry those unwieldy plastic bags full of groceries out of the store and do a little advertising at the same time. I initially balked at them this morning when my grocery clerk place one around the handles of each bag, but by God, they're actually helpful. They certainly make the bags easier to carry, and are small enough so that the advertising doesn't hit you full-force in the face.
